Surrendered?





Have all these students somehow just 'given up' ?
Well, yes - but not before they completed their task.
They surrendered a week of their valuable vacation time working in the hot sun (when they could have been lying in it ) to learn about building stone walls without mortar, and in the process ended up making something beautiful at the site of the Haliburton Highlands Museum.


Do these women look proud? They should. They lifted a lot of stones.


And the whole crew gathered yesterday morning, while it was still a bit overcast, and before the sun got too hot, for a photo op at their wall.



All I can say is 'Well done, to such good bunch of hard workers.'

 The wall thanks you too and says you should all go home and rest now.
