Sou'easten


I'm wearing what's called a "sou'wester".  It's a traditional waterproof hat with wide slanting brim longer in back than in front.
The hurricane like winds (and rain) at Balsam Lake dry stone wall restoration job we are at were from the south east all day. The hat my daughter Maddy brought back for me from Nova Scotia for Christmas turned out the be very useful.
